Liz Greene is a Jungian analyst who received her Diploma in Analytical Psychology from the Association of Jungian Analysts in London in 1980. She holds Doctorates in both Psychology and History, and worked for a number of years as a tutor in the MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology at the University of Wales, Lampeter.

Greene has written extensively on the relationships between psychology and astrology, Tarot, Kabbalah, and myth, including Jung’s Studies in Astrology.

The Astrological World of Jung’s Liber Novus

In The Astrological World of Jung’s Liber Novus, Liz Greene explores the planetary journey Jung portrayed in this remarkable work and investigates the ways in which he used astrological images and themes as an interpretive lens to help him understand the nature of his visions and the deeper psychological meaning behind them. This unique study appeals to analytical psychologists and Jungian psychotherapists, students and academics of Jungian and post-Jungian theory, the history of psychology, archetypal thought, mythology and folklore, the history of New Age movements, esotericism and psychological astrology.

Liz Greene has written what will undoubtedly stand as the definitive work on Jung's engagement with astrology for a long time to come. It is an immense achievement. She also offers us profound insights into Jung's vision of the psychological underpinnings of the emergence of meaningful archetypal patterns in history.

Personal Traits and Philosophy

Liz Greene is a very practical person and equally capable. Greene is very tidy by nature, Greene loves order and is methodical. It is even possible that these qualities are too highly developed in Greene, and it may be that while attending to minute details, Greene loses some of the larger opportunities of life.

Greene is sensitive and generous. Were Greene to hear of a case of want or somebody in dire distress, it is unthinkable that Greene would pass by and not hold out a helping hand.

Greene is a hesitant person. Though Greene has the qualities for making Greene's way in the world and it is within Greene's powers to climb high up the ladder of success, the necessary qualities to carry Greene through and while Greene is wondering some more pushing but less well-equipped person steps into Greene's place. Therefore do not think much of Greene's mythical limitations. Take it for granted that Greene will succeed and Greene will.

Greene is calculative and realistic. Greene always want to achieve something. There is some deep desire burning in Greene's heart to achieve something. This makes Greene restless at times. Greene will often meet with disappointments and expect more, for Greene tends to worry so much that the very things Greene are afraid of usually happen. Very shy, Greene has great difficulty in communicating feelings and emotions.

If Greene will clear Greene's head of all worldly matters for a small period each day and sit in meditation, Greene will feel much peace and realise that things are not as bad as they seem.

Greene tends to keep wandering in various places, which is why the idea of studying for a prolonged duration will not be entertained by Greene. But, it can give birth to negative circumstances in Greene's educational life. Once Greene gains victory over Greene's lethargic nature, Greene will perform well in Greene's studies. Greene has a morbid curiosity about unfamiliar things.

Greene's imagination skills will grant Greene considerable amount of success in Greene's respective subjects. On the other hand, Greene should try to boost Greene's concentration power so that Greene do not fleet in the world of imagination while studying. Greene feels that others will regard Greene with esteem only if Greene has acquired wealth and material possessions.
