Meowstic is a Psychic-type Pokémon from Generation VI that evolves from Espurr starting at level 25. It does not evolve further. Meowstic is a bipedal, feline Pokémon whose appearance differs drastically between genders.

Design and Inspiration
Meowstic is likely based on the nekomata, a mystical twin-tailed cat creature of Japanese folklore. Meowstic is inspired by the nekomata, a mystical twin-tailed cat from Japanese folklore. These cats gain supernatural powers as they age and their tails split, and they can stand on two legs, similar to Meowstic's upright stance.
Meowstic's folded ears are similar to those of a Scottish Fold cat. Meowstic is based on a Scottish Fold cat-its own ears are especially reminiscent of the breed’s distinctive folded ears. It may also be based on the nekomata of Japanese mythology, cats that gain supernatural abilities once they grow older and their tail splits.
Meowstic may be a combination of meow and mystic.

Appearance and Gender Differences
Meowstic is a bipedal, feline Pokémon whose appearance differs drastically between genders. Both genders have two tails, folded ears, a small collar of fur around the neck, and a tuft of fur on top of the head. On the inner surface of the tips of each ear, there is an eye-like organ with a ring at its center. This organ can emit psychic energy powerful enough to obliterate a 10-ton truck or tanker into dust.
Male and Female Meowstic
The male Meowstic is predominantly dark blue. Its eyes are green with light blue sclerae. The tuft of fur between its ears is white and curves slightly to the side and the collar around its neck is white with several stray tufts of fur. It has pointed ears with white at the fold and on the tips of its ears; there is also a white ring near the tips of its ears. Its tails are also pointed with white tips and a white ring near the end. There is a tuft of fur on each hip and it has white paws.
The female Meowstic is predominantly white. Its ears have no markings and curled tips and its eyes are red with yellow sclerae. The tuft of fur on its head is blue and curled, as is the collar around its neck. Its tails are blue at the base and end in white, fluffy curls. There are blue, stocking-like markings around its paws and two tufts of fur on each hip.
Male and female Meowstic are inverses of each other-whereas the males have short, spiky dark blue fur with white accents, females have long, curled white fur with dark blue accents. Their eyes are also different; a male Meowstic has a light green sclera and dark green irises, whereas female Meowstic have yellow scelera and red irises.

Powers and Abilities
The eye-like organs hidden under the fold of Meowstic's ears emit psychic energy powerful enough to obliterate a 10-ton truck or taker. It usually keeps its ears folded in order to keep this power in check, but it will unleash this power if threatened.
Meowstic have extremely potent psychic powers that can disintegrate something as powerful as a tanker, as a means of protecting themselves from potential threats. Their powers are concentrated in the eyelike glands in their ears, and upon unfolding their ears, they are able to release psychic energy powerful enough to destroy a ten-ton truck.
The eyeball patterns on the interior of its ears emit psychic energy. The eyeball patterns on the interior of its ears emit psychic energy. Revealing the eyelike patterns on the insides of its ears will unleash its psychic powers.
When faced with trouble, Meowstic will raise its ears and create enough psychic power to demolish a ten-ton truck. When in danger, it raises its ears and releases enough psychic power to grind a 10-ton truck into dust.
When Meowstic uses its abilities, the organ glows light blue.

Behavior and Temperament
Meowstic are very calm and stoic Pokémon, seldom showing their emotions to their trainers. They utilize their psychic abilities to protect themselves or to levitate out of harm’s way. Unlike their pre-evolution Espurr, Meowstic can control their power more easily.
The two genders of Meowstic appear to have different temperaments. While the majority of males are calmer and more protective, altruistically defending their companions, most females are rather cold, callous, and capricious to the degree of selfishly and aggressively punishing others with their psychic powers if they don't get what they want or are angered.
Male Meowstic has a strong defensive instinct, as it prefers to support its allies rather than attack despite being strong enough to blast away any opponent. It is willing to use its full power to protect itself or its partners.
Female Meowstic is known to be a bit more selfish, aggressive, and aversive than its male counterpart. Should it not get what it wants, it will torment anyone with its psychic abilities. It generally has a stoic expression even when using its powers, and its unfriendliness is part of its charm.
The defensive instinct of the males is strong. Females are a bit more selfish and aggressive than males. If it doesn't hold back when it unleashes its psychic power, it can tear apart a tanker. Female Meowstic are more aggressive than males. When they sense danger, they exert their psychic power at its maximum output. Females are a bit more selfish and aggressive than males.
Mega Evolution
Meowstic can Mega Evolve into Mega Meowstic using the Meowsticite. Mega Meowstic's appearance combines the appearances of both variations of Meowstic; as such, there is no visual difference between a male and female Mega Meowstic.
Mega Meowstic
Its left half generally takes from female Meowstic, with dominantly white body fur, dark blue arm and leg, and a yellow eye; while its right half generally takes from male Meowstic, with dominantly dark blue fur, white arm and leg, and a green eye. Both eyes have pure white pupils and generally appear closed, but may open when Mega Meowstic unleashes its powers.
Mega Meowstic's ears, in contrast, are always unfurled with their eye-like organs fully visible. The tufts of fur on top of Mega Meowstic's head and around its neck are long and spiky, and are both white and dark blue. Continuing the gender duality theme, Mega Meowstic has two tails, one ending in a curled tip like that of female Meowstic and one ending in a spiky tip like that of male Meowstic.
Mega Meowstic can use its psychic power to compress or expand anything.
