Snake-Like UFO Sightings: Unexplained Aerial Anomalies

A curious phenomenon has captured the attention of UFO enthusiasts and skeptics alike: snake-like UFO sightings. These reports describe elongated, serpentine objects in the sky, defying conventional explanations and sparking debate about their origins.

Recent Sightings and Reports

Recently, a video surfaced online showing a glowing, snake-like anomaly hovering in the sky. The footage was reportedly taken by a YouTube user named Cody Kennedy, who was exploring the desert outside of Twentynine Palms, California, hoping to film rattlesnakes. Since they were already out on an adventure, the group decided to pursue the mysterious sight in the hopes of identifying what it was or, at the very least, capturing some cool footage of the oddity.

"We drove over to it, got under it and filmed it," Kennedy explained. In the video from the sighting, the mysterious object almost resembles a fluorescent tube wafting in the air and occasionally flickering.

Adding to the intrigue, there have been numerous reports of similar snake-like objects over Wyoming and other parts of the country. International news sites have even picked up on this new phenomenon, specifically mentioning Wyoming as a hotspot. Some videos also include these snake-like objects over Washington State and Colorado.

Possible Explanations

While the nature of these objects remains uncertain, several explanations have been proposed:

  • Balloons: Some have speculated that these could be balloons of some sort, but the movement doesn't seem to be what you'd expect from a balloon at that altitude.
  • Unidentified Flying Objects: The possibility that these are extraterrestrial vehicles disguised as living creatures cannot be ruled out.
  • Atmospheric Beasts: The idea of serpentine atmospheric beasts existing in our skies is another intriguing, albeit less conventional, theory.

Sky Serpents: A Historical Perspective

Sky Serpent sightings still persist today in the form of serpentine atmospheric beasts. Sky Serpents are snakes or elongated serpentine dragons that appear to float or fly in the air. They typically move in an undulating fashion, as if they are sea serpents of the air. They are not the same as ordinary flying dragons, because they manage to fly without wings, like most Asian dragons that have the ability to fly.

In the region of Suwalszczyzna in Poland, Oskar Henryk Kolberg described local villagers seeing "flying snakes/dragons". Some Sky Serpents look very much like ordinary snakes, except that they are huge and in the wrong place.

Sky Serpents are so strange that if they are real at all, it is hard to imagine how they might be natural animals. Unless they are really atmospheric beasts or perhaps UFOs that are somehow disguised as living creatures, it would seem that Sky Serpents must be relegated to the realm of the supernatural. Therefore, not many cryptozoologists are interested in them.

On October 15, 2001, two observers in Manhattan, NYC, witnessed a black, elongated shape-shifter floating/hovering for approximately 5 minutes. The object was described as follows:

  1. The object was hovering in place and changed direction a few times smoothly, against the breeze which was blowing.
  2. Was jet black and appeared to be almost like a giant oarfish moving in the air in a twisting fashion.
  3. Would stop, hover, twist, move, stop, hover, twist, move, etc.
  4. After floating and shape shifting above and around building (it wasnt tethered as the wind would whip it a certain way)it moved "fast" (maybe within 2 secinds time) the length of 3 blocks NE, then stopped to begin its dance again.
  5. As it moved on it began to head due NE towards the east side and east river then ultimately dissappeared behind a large building maybe 6 blocks from my car, at this time it reached an altitude of maybe 350 feet then just vanished.

Some notable locations within the Bridgewater Triangle include:

  • Hockomock Swamp: A large wetland known as "place where spirits dwell," associated with Native American curses and King Philip's War.
