The world of Skinwalkers is filled with terrifying characters and challenging gameplay. One of the most enigmatic and dangerous figures in this realm is the Pale Visitor. This article delves into the lore surrounding the Pale Visitor, his behavior, and the overall gameplay of Skinwalkers.
Skinwalkers is a new shooter on the Roblox platform where you will have to fight a dangerous virus that can hide behind civilians. Use in-game weapons, skills and survival lessons.
The Pale Visitor: A Deep Dive
The Pale Visitor is depicted as the most dangerous and powerful Visitor seen over the course of the game. He is very violent, and has no qualms about murdering large groups of people, his only reason being sadism garnered from his actions (also can be known as the term “Schadenfreude”).
Appearance and Characteristics
- The Pale Visitor is a character that appears on the third night as the first character.
- He has freakishly pale skin, similar to a ghost, stretched unevenly all across his body.
- He also has no nipples.
- He has a supernaturally large chest, with wire-esque arms, elongated nearly twice as long as those of the average person.
- He also has short, blackened hair.

Encounters with the Pale Visitor
The Protagonist isn't the only person to survive an encounter with the Pale Visitor. The Bearded Hunter also had seen him before.
According to the story from the Bearded Guy, the Intruder was once a regular human who came to the Bearded Guy’s home, frantically knocking on his door and begging to be let inside. He was described by the Bearded Guy as looking “pale as if he had seen death itself”. After being refused several times, he attempted to break the window, but the Bearded Guy threatened him with a rifle, and so the Intruder ran away.
A day later, the Bearded Guy went to find firewood when he saw that his rifle had disappeared. After frantically looking everywhere for it, he saw the Intruder outside his window, holding the rifle in his hands. He looked “very different” from his previous encounter, appearing taller and half naked with sagged skin and a more sinister expression.
The Pale Visitor is seen stalking The Protagonist's house on the third night. He is spotted outside the window, looking toward the path. The Pale Visitor appears at The Protagonist's door at the start of the fourth night. The Protagonist asks him a question but does not get a response.

Instead, The Pale Visitor smiles and asks, 'How’s it going here? Is everything okay?' The Protagonist attempts to ask another question, but the Pale Visitor interrupts to inquire if The Protagonist is alone in the house.
- If The Protagonist is alone or says that he is alone, The Pale Visitor will take him “to a fate worse than death”.
- He briefly returns to The Protagonist's door on the sixth night, asking what The Protagonist thinks of the FEMA agent that had just left after the protagonist tells him.
- He asks again if the protagonist is alone in the house.
- If The Protagonist says he has people with him, the Pale Visitor asks if he getting ready for the last days, saying, "Dogs rule the world. And only dogs will be here.
However, for some reason, he is fairly picky about killing homeowners, asking if they are home alone and leaving willingly if they aren't. He is also shown to know if someone is lying to him about having people residing with them or not, giving foreboding warnings to people.
He seems to find pleasure from the fact that The Protagonist is afraid of him when talking to him. If The Protagonist is alone, or says they are, he will break into their house and presumably kill them.
He frantically begged to enter the Bearded Guy’s home while he was “still human.” However, after being chased away by the Bearded Guy and his rifle, he returned a day later as a visitor, snapping his rifle in half and staring him down until dawn.
In this appearance he is confused that the player fully opens the door rather than looking through a peep-hole. He then, as is typical, asks if you are alone. Regardless of if you have a guest in the lighthouse, The Pale Visitor then leaves because he senses somebody in there with you, and he wonders how long "he" will stay. Ironically, his title in this cameo is Human.

Gameplay and Objectives in Skinwalkers
In Skinwalker, players find themselves in extraordinary surroundings from the very beginning and have to either hide or engage in combat with the Skinwalkers or any other paranormal threats. Most of the time, the gameplay revolves around exploration, survival and group cohesion.
Resources will have to be gathered, environmental puzzles solved and concealment or shield tactics employed. Most of the time, players’ survival hinges on their teamwork with other players and strategizing in order not to be caught by Skinwalkers.
Goals in Skinwalker
In Skinwalker, the primary aim is to endure through the night or until some specific goal is achieved. It could be running tasks like scouting, securing supplies, or wait for nightfall and kill all the vultures lurking who threaten game play.
Some modes of the game, however, do not require any activity except staying alive for a period of time or getting out of the place. It is also known that objectives differ from each other based on the play mode or map in consideration.
Consequences of Death
It is quite common to respawn or be out of the round if you are killed in Skinwalker. You usually don’t go back to the action until the round is over. In regards to one game modes, if you lose, you would lose for instance currencies or different types of rounds won prior to that.
Nevertheless, in some modes, you may die but have the ability to “communicate” with survivors by labeling areas with ‘danger’ markers or informing them where Skinwalkers and other dangers are located.
Toning Down the Horror
If the horror aspects are too strong, then a few variations of Skinwalker allow changing some configurations in order to reduce the fear factor. Some of these measures may include dimming spine chilling sound levels, increasing light, or simply enjoying the game in the company of friends to ease the pressure.
Skinwalker Lore in Supernatural
The skinwalker was initially mentioned in Supernatural in the second episode. However, it didn’t show up until Season 6 and here’s a look at the lore.
While briefly mentioned in passing in the second episode and then again in “Skin,” as the possible monster of the week, the show didn’t introduce the creature until Season 6. We quickly learned more, because Dean said that he needed a quick brief on the lore having never seen the creature in so long.
A cousin of a werewolf, the creature is able to turn at will and into an animal, with the show using a canine on the show but they can turn into any animal. The similarities to the werewolf are in the killing of it. Silver bullets to the chest work.
Also like werewolves, and some other creatures, the skinwalkers like to live in packs. They’ll follow the orders of the Pack Leader and will stick together in a group where possible. This is different to many other monsters that the Winchesters have come across, such as shapeshifters, wendigos, and rugarus.
When the creature is killed in canine form, it will turn back into human form. The “disease” is passed on through a bite, similarly to a werewolf.
Real Mythology Surrounding Skinwalkers
In real lore, skinwalkers were traditionally witches in the Navajo (a Native American tribe) culture, according to The Line-Up. They used to be humans and would transform into any type of animal or person. It seems this is where some of the shifter lore in Supernatural could have come from - shifters could “steal” anyone’s face.
What makes skinwalkers different is that they can look into a person’s eyes and start controlling them. However, they are usually seen as wolves, coyotes, or foxes. They can sometimes opt for the crow, owl, or eagle form.
Because the Navajo people don’t like talking about skinwalkers to those outside of their culture (due to superstition of the repercussions), there are a lot of mixed views on how skinwalkers build their packs and how to kill them. One of the theories on killing them is by using their real human name against them, according to Thought Catalog.
When it comes to the real and show lore, it’s clear that skinwalker lore has been used for various other creatures. At the same time, other creatures have helped develop the show’s skinwalker lore to make it something unique.
