Thoughts on Bob Lazar’s UFO propulsion theory

Bob Lazar claimed he worked on reverse-engineering extraterrestrial craft at Area 51 / S-4 in the 1980s. In this blog, I’m going to explain the theory behind the propulsion system and a new theory.

Here is how Bob Lazar’s propulsion system works (simplified)

Lazars UFO propulsion system works like this:   

Element-115 has a stable isotopic form known as Moscovium-299 (115 protons + 184 neutrons in the nucleus) which is the FUEL.  

Element 115’s “strong nuclear force” is said to extend beyond the boundary of the nucleus. 

The gravity amplifier takes that force and pulses it at 7.46 Hertz down to gravity emitters which work as a triad to envelop the craft in a gravitational field that surrounds the craft as a toroid.

The Antimatter Reactor utilizes “nuclear transmutation” to power the craft. 

The top of the reactor is a cyclotron or circular particle accelerator that plugs a proton into Element 115, transmuting it into Element 116, which instantly undergoes decay, and the Antimatter falls into the bottom of the reactor, which contains a chamber of Xenon gas. 

When the matter and Antimatter collide, you get “total annihilation.” the thermal energy is converted into electrical energy. 

And that’s what powers the craft, amplifiers, emitters, and other subcomponents.

Here is another explanation of Bob Lazar’s propulsion theory.

“Phase conjugate microwave propulsion.” Lazar could have been told it operated at Microwave frequency but confused the nature of what he perceived as anti-gravity for electromagnetic phase conjugation. 

The Earth does not produce dipole gravity waves (nothing does at speeds lower than relativistic), and it doesn’t produce quadrupole gravity waves either (only decaying orbits of 2 or more spinning masses produce them). 

Atoms moving at microwave frequencies might produce gravity waves, but this is unlikely. 

It is my opinion that the “wave A and wave B” are microwaves being trapped in a phase conjugate mirror system that destructively interferes outside the craft and constructively interferes inside the craft. 

The only other explanation is actually much simpler. 

The vehicle could be an asymmetrical capacitor using ionized air plasma to propel itself, and the microwave drums are, in fact, MASERs of sorts, used to ionize and heat the air at a distance to make it susceptible to the huge electric dipole field around the craft.

The phase conjugate mirror-based propulsion concept from a book by Paul A LaViollette, Ph.D., titled “Secrets of Antigravity Propulsion: Tesla, UFOs, and Classified Aerospace Technology.” 

However, I believe the leading expert on the subject would be Larry Reed, a Californian engineer that authored the paper: “Confinement of Light: Standing Wave Transformations in a Phase-Locked Resonator.” 

Reed shows how inertia is conserved in a resonator cavity such that the cavity motion resists external forces/acceleration due to the transformation of the internal standing EM wave. 

The standing wave contracts and red/blue shifts, adding the radiative force to the apparent mass/inertia of the cavity. 

Larger amplitude resonance would therefore resist higher accelerations. 

Reed reasoned that if you were to produce the inverse of this “Doppler-Lorentz” shifted cavity wave, then you would be able to induce motion of the resonant cavity by injection of time-reversed signals, which implies phase conjugation.   

Both authors provide detailed explanations for each component necessary to produce and modulate the electromotive force.

 In LaViollette’s explanation, phase conjugation is accomplished by non-linear optoelectric crystals like Barium Titanate, and the motive force is produced in a ceramic that has microwave frequency resonances. 

When the pump and probe beams are intentionally frequency mismatched, the EM waves, which were phase conjugated, are now free to escape the resonator and cause force on the ceramic due to off-resonant EMF. 

This depletes the cavity field, and the ceramic depolarizes while accelerating, conserving energy and momentum. 

Larry Reed’s paper does not go into great detail about the non-linear materials necessary but goes much deeper into the mechanical wave description of such a device operates and how the phase conjugated signal processing must be performed to produce smooth acceleration.
