If you're a planning fanatic with an interest in astrology, you know there's nothing better than cracking open a new planner for the year. Keeping your world organized with astrological timing mapped out can be a game-changer. Here's a review of some of the best astrological planners available.
Magic Of I Astrological Planner
The Magic of I planner is an annual planner that syncs with Astrology. It contains an immense amount of information and additional features. It helps to organise your life with its daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals and actionable steps. It can also be used as a daily journal which helps with stress management.
What’s Included In A Magic Of I Astrological Planner?
There’s over 42 pages of information even before you get to the annual calendar! It’s a really detailed, comprehensive astrological planner that has also been broken down so that it’s SUPER easy to use for beginners and not too overwhelming. For example, if you’re not familiar with all of the planets’ characteristics and what their aspects (position in relation to each other) mean, then there is an awesome “Optimum Times Life Guide” which basically summarises for you what the energy of that day will be.
This could anything from “Power On'“ where it’s good for getting things done etc. but can be challenging for butting heads; to “Shadowy Deep” which is an optimal day for access to our subterranean inner depths but can also be challenging for its intensity if ignored or suppressed. Then, the introduction also explains what all the signs, including the elements, and planets mean, what the houses represent and other characteristics such as identifying body part, metal, day of the week, and mode it is a part of. It also lists all of the eclipses, retrogrades and void-course-moons of the year (which are again represented in the monthly and weekly overview too).
The introduction also goes into specifically the energy of the moon and how the different phases can have a different effect on us and how best to approach these times. I particularly like how this is tied into our menstrual cycle- whether yours syncs with the moon or not (if you have one) it’s a great tracking system, I learnt so much about myself! Another feature I particularly like that’s included in the planner is the yearly intention setting space that is broken down into 8 key areas of life and a space to then clearly and succinctly summarise what are your top 5 priorities to work towards for the year. It’s also further broken down into actionable steps which is really useful to not get overwhelmed!

Then, at the beginning of each month and week, you’ve got your goals and actionable steps as well as a space to put your weekly intention in the daily planner section so you don’t have to keep going backwards and forwards and can make sure you’re always on track.
There’s a yearly calendar, and then a monthly calendar at the start of each month too, featuring all of the important dates, Optimal Times, moon signs and other astrological transits. I also love that at the start of each month you can see a quick overview of the most important transits and what are the themes of the month. Finally, if you’re a seasoned astrologer, it has a complete ephemeris for the whole year at the back, and some blank pages for extra notes if you need it too. One last nice touch is that 1% of all profits go towards land conservation and rehabilitation projects, it's printed in Europe on sustainable FSC paper with vegan leather covers, plant-based shrink wrap, organic cotton bags and plastic-free shipping!
The astrological planner comes in beautiful earthy colours. And I can personally attest to how beautifully soft the cover is and especially smooth the paper is to write on!NEW FOR 2023: Medicinal mushroom monthly alignment, learn all about the magic of the fungi world! Every year Magic of I adds in extra details.
How to Use the Magic of I Planner
First, I start by setting my intentions in each of the 8 key areas of life and actionable steps for the year and then a summary of 5 main intentions for year- this doesn’t need to be done only at the start of the year however! Any time is great for making a change and implementing some inspiration into your life.
Then, at the beginning of each month, after looking over what the monthly themes etc. are, I set my goals and intentions, before finally breaking it down into 4 weekly goals with actionable steps.

Finally, at the end of every day before bed, I write down a brief summary of what I did that day, adding in anything else to do in the following days, and check what I’ve got coming up the day after and what the astrological alignments/Optimal Times say the theme for the next day will be. Then, when my period starts I track it in the menstrual cycle calendar and see where I am in relation to the moon phases and check in with what “season” this correlates to for added info on how to work more in sync with my own body.
All in all, I truly believe everyone should have an astrological planner in their life haha and I’m sure you won’t regret investing in one- in fact, it will most likely change your life for the better!

Other Notable Astrological Planners
Besides the Magic of I Planner, several other astrological planners offer unique features and benefits.
The Soul Care Planner from Bella de Luna
The Soul Care Planner from Bella de Luna is gorgeous. I love the teal hardcover and the feel of the paper inside (not glossy - you can write on it!). The size is 7 x 9 x 1, which is my preference. I don’t like a planner that is teeny or enormous. The Soul Care Planner is perfect. Ribbon bookmarks allow you to easily find your place, which I love. I love the soft colors for the print inside. There are sections for weekly overviews, intention-setting, weekly to-dos, and both monthly and weekly calendars. The astrology is carefully mapped out along with suggestions for things you can do to care for yourself in the best way possible in alignment with the cosmos. This is a stunning planner with every detail you could want.
Sarah Faith Gottesdiener’s Many Moons Lunar Planner
Sarah Faith Gottesdiener’s Many Moons Lunar Planner is for magical minds. Every Moon sign and phase is listed, making this an indispensable guide for intention-setting. The paper cover is sturdy yet flexible - and fans of spiral binding will be loving how flat it lies, making it so easy to use. There are generous spaces for writing your lists, making notes, and reflecting.

Many Moons is my go-to recommendation for someone starting an intuitive practice. It is such a treasure trove of information. While it contains some additional astrological info, tracking the Moon in her different phases and signs is the main focus here. And our Lady of the Nite Skies deserves nothing less.
The creator of Many Moons, Sarah Faith Gottesdiener, is a seasoned practitioner and a beautifully sensitive soul. Sarah and her impressive list of contributors wrote this calendar's social-justice-minded and spot-on insights and rituals. The artwork is inspiring and gorgeous.
I highly recommend this planner for those who need less astrological transit information and who desire an accessible, embodied, intuitive experience. It is available in digital and hard copy formats. It has a good amount of astrological data without being overwhelming, with lots of opportunities for ritual and reflection. It also has fun extras like stickers; you can add your birth chart to the first few pages. This planner has some color elements in addition to black-and-white ink.
Honeycomb Collective
This is custom made and totally personalized. You can choose the start and end date, which means you don’t have to wait for the turn o’ the year to get your paws on this. Spiral binding allows it to lie flat, which is convenient as can be. The paper is a bit glossy, which means your ink can smear - so you may want to refrain from using anything other than a ballpoint pen. There are many options to customize this astrological planner, which appeals to me. If you’re well-versed in astrology, you’ll want this by your side to map out your year. If you’re a beginner, it might be overwhelming. But hey, that might be the perfect nudge to take an astrology class! I’m totally geeking out on mine!
Llewellyn Daily Planetary Guide
I’ve been using this annual handbook since the beginning of time. The Llewellyn Daily Planetary Guide has been a steady and easy-to-use astrological friend for many years. Whether you’re new or old to astrology, you’ll appreciate the easy to understand info inside. Every day, you get a clear picture of what is happening in the cosmos. There is room to write your agenda. It’s not a lot of room and there are no spaces for setting goals or intentions. But that being said, if you want a no-frills reliable, and easy-to-use astrological planner, this would suffice.
Go Time Planner
This is the mother of all planners: big, bold, and tons of space for writing down every detail of your day, goals, and more. This is feminist AF with quotes from inspirational women. The astro part? I did that. Simple “Astro-Glances” help you to navigate your day and year like a badass BO$$. This is the ideal planner for entrepreneurs and go-getters who want to navigate the stars without complicated astro-jargon.
We'Moon Astrological Datebook
Last year, I had the great privilege of writing an article for We'Moon that debuted in their 2025 astrological datebook. This year, I have the great pleasure of reviewing the 2026 datebook and calendar!
First and foremost, this is an astrological datebook created by womyn as a countermovement to our racist patriarchal society. This means they purposely amply the voices of womyn from cultures and walks of life that are traditionally marginalized, including our transgender and non-binary kin. They honor both the diversity that exists in our community, as well as our shared experiences. There isn't anything else quite like their datebook on the market, and there certainly isn't a company that deserves your support like We'Moon and Mother Tongue Ink do. Each article, piece of art, spell, ritual, and poem is created by womyn; no AI is used. Every year, I am blown away by others' creativity.
The 2026 edition is themed “Full Circle,” celebrating cycles of growth, renewal, and transformation. Each week-at-a-glance spread includes moon phases, moon signs, planetary movements, void-of-course periods, and seasonal markers. The planner also features annual horoscopes, ephemeris tables, and a comprehensive lunar overview.
But what truly sets We’Moon apart is its creative heart. Every planner contains over 100 pieces of art, poetry, and prose contributed by womyn from around the world. The result is a planner that feels alive. It is something to be read, savored, and sat with during your daily or moon-based rituals.
On top of this, each astrological datebook is dedicated to an organization. This year, they dedicated their datebook to the Sunrise Movement, a youth-driven, women-led organization for climate action and environmental justice. Considering We'Moon uses Hansol paper, which is 60% recycled, with solvent-free soy- and vegetable-based inks, I am not surprised they chose to support such an organization.
While I love this planner, the planner is content-dense, making it ideal for reflection, but possibly overwhelming if you prefer minimal, business-style layouts. Furthermore, while there is space for notes, the format isn't designed as an hour-by-hour appointment book, more a record of dates and major events. Finally, all astrological data is listed in Pacific Standard Time; users in other time zones will need to adjust for this difference.
Astrological Apps and Digital Tools
In addition to physical planners, several apps and digital tools can help you track astrological events and integrate them into your daily life.
Chani App
Hands down, it is my number one recommendation for a personal app if you have the cash and can afford the paid version. Chani and the team have created a personalized and accessible mobile app with beginner-friendly information. The app is based on traditional astrology techniques, so it uses Whole Sign Houses and house-based aspects. So, if that is not your jam, I’d give it a pass because there is no way to change that within the app.
While there is a list of all the planets and points and what sign they currently occupy, this app has no general transit wheel, so you’d still need to look up aspects. You cannot go forward or backward in your personal transits, so you’d need to look that up in another app if that is important.
Chani and the team focus on the personalized experience of this app, so if you have the paid version, you’ll have a page with the current transits for your chart specifically. It also contains a daily horoscope and a library of meditations and affirmations and is updated weekly with a reading for your rising sign, ritual, and other elements.
There is a free version of the app, but I had a trial of the full experience from the first day it launched, so I don't know exactly what the free version is like. I assume it has everything except the personalized portion, and there are likely in-app advertisements for the paid version. The plus side is it contains planetary hours. So once you set it up, which, to be honest, is a little clunky, you will know the planetary hours for your location at any time. You can add other locations when you get the hang of it. This could be helpful if you travel a lot or advise folks in different time zones. You can also compute planetary hours by hand, but since the info is so widely accessible, there is no need to do that regularly. FYI, the first planetary hour starting at sunrise is the same as the planetary day.
Time Nomad
You can add birth data to Time Nomad and get planetary placements without interpretations. I love this app and recommend it to folks who need to know the hours for working with their heavenly spheres.
I tend to operate in chaos mode when learning technology in general, and my best advice for learning this app is PRESS EVERYTHING. You won’t break it; you can see what everything does, even if you are unsure of what it is. I am sure there are some tutorials out there, too. I use it for planetary hours and learned it just fine.
Time Nomad is available for iPhone and iPad, and the developers of this app do not collect any of your data, which is very important. Earlier this year, they added a few beautiful Moon widgets for the lock screen. It doesn’t have planetary hours but is a solid free app with in-app purchases.
Additional Digital Resources
Here are some other digital resources for astrological information:
- A free site is convenient if you don’t like or don’t want to use Time Nomad. There is a tip jar feature where you can buy a coffee for Grant, the human behind this wonderful tool. Grant has a transit viewer calendar for you to explore, too.
- Astro.com is perhaps the OG program most of us are familiar with regarding accessing free astrological data. If you create a free account on the site, you can store birth data for you and anyone else you’d like.
- Luna is another option, and while it has a price tag of $8 per month or $60 per year, it is a solid piece of technology with many customizations available. It does not have an app available for mobile, but you can create a shortcut on your phone’s home screen that takes you to the mobile version of the site. And if you are already logged in, it really functions just like an app would as long as you are connected to the internet. Luna has added functionality over the years, including an asteroid catalog, which you can search for by name or number.
