When I first heard about the Foreo UFO, I thought it was another cleansing device from the brand as we’ve previously featured the Foreo Luna Go and the Foreo Luna 3. Those two got rave reviews so when I found out that the UFO was in fact, not a cleansing device, my interest was piqued.
The Foreo UFO (P16,320 via their Lazada Flagship Store) uses its Hyper-Infusion Technology paired with its signature T-Sonic pulsations to deliver the best results out of every mask. The three options for LED light therapy in red, green, and blue can be activated depending on the mask.
“A transcendent smart mask treatment, UFO combines advanced dermal technologies with exclusive Korean mask formulas for a decadent facial treatment in seconds.” The description read as such and it is posed as a quick alternative to the typical sheet masks which require 15-20minutes on your face. The UFO finishes a treatment in 90 seconds and has several sheet masks to choose from.
As a beauty aficionado and devout sheet masker, the idea that a device could solve all of the annoyances associated with a traditional sheet mask certainly intrigued me. No more cold, wet sheets of paper slathered all over my face? No more sitting on the couch motionless for twenty minutes waiting to take it off? No more looking like a mummy straight out of a horror film? OKAY, SIGN ME UP!
What is UFO?
UFO combines the best of beauty and technology for a spa‑worthy facial treatment in just 90 seconds. In other words, UFO boosts the benefits of skincare nutrients thanks to innovative beauty-tech - ensuring you get the most from your facial. Well, UFO uses Hyper-Infusion Technology and RGB LED light therapy to give you a professional-level treatment in the comfort of your home. Hyper-infusion technology combines Cryo-Therapy (cooling) and Thermo-Therapy (heating) with T-Sonic pulsations that allow the nutrients to penetrate deep into the skin.

One of the things I love about UFO is the LED light therapy. The combination of red, green, and blue LED light offers a wide range of skin benefits, such as stimulating collagen (red light), brightening your complexion (green light), and killing bacteria that cause acne (blue light). People pay the big bucks to have access to spa-level LED light, so to have that technology sitting on my bathroom counter is pretty spectacular.
I have to say, my favorite part of applying the UFO treatment was the Thermo-Therapy. I hate the feeling of putting cold sheet masks on my face, so to have a warm, sweet scent massaged into my skin was basically heaven on earth.
What Comes With UFO?
UFO comes in a translucent plastic case with instructions on the back. Tucked inside is a Make My Day UFO Activated Mask to get you started, a plastic stand to display your device, and a USB charging cord.
UFO Activated Masks are designed exclusively for use with UFO. The Korean mask formulas clip perfectly onto the device and allow UFO to effortlessly glide across your skin, making sure that every inch of your face gets some essence. The Make My Day and Call It a Night UFO Activated Masks are part of the first duo-pack launched by FOREO.
The UFO Activated Masks each pair with a pre-programmed treatment routine in the device. For example, the Make My Day treatment that I tried begins with 30 seconds of Thermo-Therapy and red LED light to prep the skin and open the pores. The next 30 seconds integrate T-Sonic pulsations into the treatment to heighten the absorption of the mask essence. The final 30 seconds switch to a green LED treatment and lower frequency pulsations to even skin tone and add that radiant boost.

Using UFO
It may sound super complicated, but using UFO is foolproof. You simply remove the UFO Activated Mask from the sachet, clip it onto the device and then press the universal button to activate the Make My Day Treatment (or press twice for the Call it a Night Treatment). Once the treatment starts, you slowly massage the mask formula into your skin while the device works its magic for 90 seconds. Sound simple enough? It was.
Start with clean and dry skin. Press the universal button again (up to 8 times) to select one of 8 pre-set treatments. You can also customize your UFO settings - and your facials - as much as you like!
To use the Foreo UFO, you must download their app on your smartphone and connect it to the device. Once your device is registered, the app then requires you to scan the barcode of your mask before starting the treatment and this is done every single time. It also guides you throughout the treatment which is nice at first but can get slightly annoying when you’re on your nth mask of the same variety.

You secure the sheet mask onto the device by placing it under the ring. After 90 seconds, you are given the option to repeat the treatment. I always choose to do so as the first treatment pass feels like it goes by a little too quickly. Also, there is so much essence left in the pack! I have actually taken to doing the treatment thrice - 2x for the face and 1x for the neck.
I use the device 3/4 times per week and it didn’t take long to notice an improvement in my overall tone. My skin looks brightened, plumped and healthier while my pores and fine lines are minimised. As I’ve mentioned I use the Make My Day mask which is infused with Hyaluronic acid and red algae for deep hydration.
Here's a summary of the key features and benefits:

Mask Variants and Personal Experience
So far, I have tried three of the sheet mask variants - Make My Day, Call It a Night, and Youth Junkie. Make My Day and Call It a Night are their basic sheet masks priced at P640 (7 masks/box via Sephora PH). While Youth Junkie is part of their Advanced Collection which features mask variants that target different skin needs. Youth Junkie is an Intense Renewal Collagen-Infused Mask priced at P1,240 (6 masks/box via Sephora PH), perfect for anti-aging.
I was looking forward to the Cryo-Therapy treatment but sadly, it is not included for these three masks. This is how my skin looks after the Make My Day mask. My skin feels nourished without being sticky as can be the case with a typical sheet mask application. The redness around my nose was also diminished though my pores still look the same. I still follow up with moisturizer after to seal in the mask as well as provide additional moisture to my normally dry skin.
My favorite so far would have to be the Youth Junkie variant as you can really feel and see the Advanced Collection difference. The essence alone feels more concentrated and I can even skip moisturizer after. My skin feels nourished without being sticky as can be the case with a typical sheet mask application.
Each box of both Make My Day and Call It A Night contain 6 individually packaged sheet masks and retail for £9.99.
Why UFO Is My New Replacement for Sheet Masks
I’m a girl on the move, as much as I wish most of my days were spent lounging around at home trying different beauty products, they’re not. Everyone has 90 seconds in a day to spare, and UFO makes it possible to pamper yourself as needed without the time commitment. Besides the time-saving aspect, UFO gives my skin everything it could ever want, all tucked inside a small yet powerful device.
My personal UFO tried-and-tested score: 10/10.
Overall I’m really enjoying using the UFO and I have noticed an improvement in my skin. It fits into my routine perfectly and it isn’t time-consuming at all. I love how it works with the app saving each mask you use by scanning the bar-code on the packet.
