However, when it comes to specific Shaman Runes, keep on reading!

Season of Discovery is all about getting Runes in order to build up, increase the capability, ability and power of your Character, it’s like that for every Class and this includes the Shaman and Shaman Runes.

In WoW Classic’s Season of Discovery, Runes serve as items that are slotted into gear, granting passive effects or unlocking new spells or abilities for the character. They are exclusive to this particular season and are not available in other iterations of the game.

Blizzard has implemented the rune system as a means to explore new class fantasies and to address balancing issues by empowering weaker specs. Furthermore, some runes offer effects that enable classes to fulfill entirely new roles, expanding gameplay possibilities. For instance, a Warlocks and Rogue can become a Tank, Mages can be Healers etc.

Each rune is designed for a specific gear slot. Phase 1 of the Season of Discovery introduced runes for the Chest, Hands, and Legs slots. Phase 2 expands upon this by introducing runes for the Waist and Feet slots. Additional runes for other equipment slots are slated to be introduced in subsequent phases of the season.

The notable features of runes is their flexibility. They can be swapped out at any time, provided your character is not in combat. You can expect to receive your first rune through a Quest from your Class trainer at level 2. As the Season of Discovery progresses through further phases, additional runes will be introduced, that will change the gameplay experience and providing everyone with more options for customization and specialization.

Shaman Runes are important in SoD because of the effect that they have on the Class overall. With certain Runes that became available in Season of Discovery, the Shaman gameplay can change drastically and be more competitive compared to other Classes in the game.

An important note is that the Shaman is definitely one of those Classes that ‘got it all’ via the Runes system. Whether you wish to be a Two-Handed Shaman, an Elemental destroying your opponents with Lava Burst and Lightning, or if you wanted to Dual-Wield and even Tank - you can do it all!

Lets see which Shaman Runes can help you pop-off and how early you can do it!

How to GET the Shamanistic Rage Rune - WOW Classic Quest | SoD Classic WOW

Another greatly neede... Many classes have a handful of Runes that are incredibly strong, especially at lower levels than you would usually obtain them naturally. While some Runes are level gated, meaning you need to hit a certain level before you can get them, a lot of the time the only thing stopping you is access to the zone, your ability to cast a certain spell, or the level of a required enemy.

A lot of players have had great success leveling Mages by getting summoned to Regeneration and Living Bomb right out of the gate, allowing them to AoE level right away. Something easily overlooked is that Dual Wield for Shamans is not specifically linked to a Rune, and can be learned by all Shamans. This means that Restoration and Elemental Shamans can Dual Wield Spell Power weapons as long as they are not main-hand or off-hand specific. To learn how to Dual Wield, you will need to unlock the Lava Lash Rune.

Luckily for players there is a way to quickly reach the entrance. Log out here, and once you log back in you will be right in front of the raids entrance. You are still vulnerable to being killed while logging out, but if you die, don’t release spirit!

Waylaid Supplies are a new feature in Season of Discovery, and are not very self explanatory at first. Supplies are unique, meaning you can only ever carry one at a time. Each crate will ask you to fill it with a specific profession related item, either materials or the finished product. What a lot of people are unaware of is that you can turn in the Supplies without filling them.

This may be an obvious one for a lot of long time players, but now that Windfury is available to both factions, this does deserve reiterating. On the other hand, Windfury does not apply to or interact with off-hand weapons. This means that you can freely put a temporary enchant on your off-hand without losing the incredibly powerful Windfury buff. It is better to be cautious as well, as you cannot remove temporary enchantments, they simply have to run their duration out.

Even though the level cap is lowered, questing at the Phases max level still functions the same as any other level cap. This means that extra experience is converted into Gold instead of being wasted. A lot of players are opting to pool their quests for the next Phase, giving them an immediate chunk of experience on release.

This default Tank Shaman build focuses on key defensive talents like Shield Specialization for mana sustainability through Shield Mastery and Anticipation for avoidance. It includes Thundering Strikes for a threat boost, enhancing Crit Chance with weapon attacks, and is a prerequisite for Flurry.

In Phase 1, the focus for Restoration Shamans is on selecting the most readily available talents like Improved Healing Wave, Ancestral Healing, and Totemic Mastery. In the Enhancement Shaman talent tree, options are limited. Five points are allocated to Shield Specialization merely to access the next tier, though Ancestral Knowledge can be chosen for a slight mana increase. At level 25, these talents are the most effective for increasing damage.

Place Strength of Earth Totem and Searing Totem. Iron Grenade (Tank) - Provides extra threat, potential AoE interrupt, and can be used while moving. The Shaman class, with its ability to adapt and excel in any role, is truly a one-of-a-kind experience in WoW.
