Rob Delaney (born January 19, 1977) is an American-British comedian, actor, writer, and activist. He is famous for co-creating and starring in the TV show Catastrophe.
Delaney has also appeared in many other popular movies. These include Hobbs & Shaw (2019), Bombshell (2019), and Tom & Jerry (2021).
Delaney was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on January 19, 1977. He grew up in the nearby town of Marblehead, Massachusetts. After high school, he went to New York University's famous Tisch School of the Arts.
While other comics were hesitant to share their material on social media, he is considered one of the first comedians to use social media to publish jokes. He started posting jokes there in 2009. At the time, not many comedians shared their jokes online. By 2016, he had more than 1.2 million followers.
In 2013, he published a book of funny essays. In 2022, he wrote a very personal book called A Heart That Works.

In 2018, Delaney was the first person to read a story on the CBeebies Bedtime Stories show using Makaton. Makaton is a special language program that uses signs and symbols to help people communicate.
